2026 Subaru Impreza

Redesigned from the foundation up, the 2026 Impreza delivers sharper handling, enhanced safety and a more polished cabin in a practical 5-door hatchback format. It comes with standard Subaru Symmetrical Full-Time AWD, ample interior room, upgraded materials and built-in roof crossbar mounting points for added versatility.

Inside, available amenities include an 11.6-inch touchscreen, wireless charging and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Drivers wanting extra performance can choose the Impreza RS, which features a 180-horsepower Subaru Boxer engine and unique sporty accents. Across the lineup, the Impreza blends efficiency, durability and everyday driving enjoyment.

Uncommon Safety and Security, Unrivalled Confidence

Subaru has focused on advanced active and passive safety for more than half a century, and the Impreza reflects that heritage. It has a long history of earning top safety scores, and the latest generation strengthens that reputation with its most robust platform and most advanced safety technologies to date.

With standard Subaru Symmetrical Full-Time AWD, precise handling, strong outward visibility and the newest EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, the Impreza stands out in active safety. These systems not only support protection in all conditions, they also help deliver a confident, engaging drive.

Subaru EyeSight Assist

EyeSight Driver Assist Technology

The latest EyeSight system comes standard across the Impreza lineup, combining dual cameras with a wide-angle mono camera to watch the road, identify potential hazards and support the driver. Its functions include Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Lane Keep Assist, Emergency Stop Assist, Lane Centring, Lane Keep Assist, Sway Warning, Lead Vehicle Start Alert, Pre-Collision Braking and Pre-Collision Throttle Management. Touring and RS trims also feature Automatic Emergency Steering. Earlier Impreza models equipped with EyeSight have achieved the IIHS’s highest rating for front crash prevention.
SRVD Subaru

Subaru Rear/Side Vehicle Detection (SRVD)

Offered on Touring models and higher, SRVD uses sensors and LED signals in the side mirrors to increase driver awareness. Blind Spot Detection alerts you to vehicles tucked out of view behind the C-pillars, Lane Change Assist warns when traffic is closing in quickly from a neighbouring lane, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert notifies you of vehicles or pedestrians approaching from either side while backing up.

The Dynamic Boxer Engine

The 2026 Impreza features two direct-injection Subaru Boxer engines: a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated option on the Convenience and Touring trims, and a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated version on the RS. Both engines use Dual Active Valve Control and modern weight-reduction measures to improve efficiency, reduce emissions and deliver responsive performance. Each is paired with a Lineartronic CVT, while the Touring and RS trims add the SI-DRIVE system with Intelligent and Sport modes for more tailored driving behaviour.
